Moving guide Β· Central Florida
How to budget your Central Florida move β no surprises.
The question we get most: "What will this actually cost?" Here is the math, line by line, the way we'd explain it on the phone β and the fees Orlando movers sometimes add that we don't.
1. Crew (the biggest line)
Toro charges a flat $75 per mover, per hour, with a two-mover crew as the default and a two-hour minimum. That means $300 minimum for a small loading or unloading job and roughly $450β$600 for a typical one-bedroom apartment in Orlando, Kissimmee, or Lake Nona.
- One-bedroom apartment: 2 movers, 2β3 hours β $300β$450
- Two-bedroom condo: 2 movers, 3β4 hours β $450β$600
- Three-bedroom house: 3 movers, 4β5 hours β $900β$1,125
2. Truck and equipment
If you book our in-town move or big move, the truck, blankets, and dollies are includedin the package price β no rental fee, no mileage. If you're renting your own U-Haul or POD, our loading help package drops the truck line entirely and you only pay for crew time.
3. Deposit (it counts toward your bill)
A flat $50deposit holds the date and the crew. It is fully applied to the final invoice β there is no separate "booking fee." You pay the balance at the end of the move via the same Stripe link we text you.
4. Packing materials (only if you want them)
- Standard moving box: ~$2.50 each (50β80 for a typical house)
- Roll of packing tape: ~$4
- Wardrobe box (great for clothes on hangers): ~$15
- Furniture pads / blankets: included with our truck packages
You can buy boxes at any U-Haul or Home Depot. We can also drop a box bundle off the day before β ask when you book.
5. Fees we don't charge
When comparing quotes, ask other Orlando moving companies if they add any of the following. We don't.
- Fuel surcharge
- Stairs / flights-of-stairs fee
- Long-carry / driveway-too-narrow fee
- Travel time to and from your home (inside Central Florida)
- Heavy-item fee (we move pianos and safes the same way)
- Weekend or evening surcharge
6. Tip β your call
Tipping movers is optional. If the crew earned it, $5β$10 per mover per hour is typical in the Orlando market. We make it easy: the same Stripe link you use to pay the balance has a tip option, so it's one tap on your phone.
