How we handle your information

Toro Movers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including consent for text messages (SMS).

1. Information we collect

When you request a quote, book a move, or contact us through toromovers.net, we collect:

  • Contact details — name, phone number, email address.
  • Move details — pickup and drop-off addresses, move date and time, bedroom count, access notes (stairs, elevator), and any preferences you provide.
  • Payment data — deposit and payment information processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data — anonymous analytics such as pages viewed, referring source, and device type, collected through cookies and similar technologies (Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4).

2. How we use your information

  • To prepare and deliver your moving quote.
  • To schedule, confirm, and execute your move.
  • To send service-related text messages and emails (see SMS section below).
  • To process deposits and payments.
  • To improve our website, advertising, and customer service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. SMS / Text messaging consent

By providing your phone number on our quote form at toromovers.net, you consent to receive recurring SMS text messages from Toro Movers about your move.

Messages may include:

  • Booking confirmation and deposit receipt.
  • Move-day reminder and crew-on-the-way notification.
  • Post-move follow-up and review request.
  • Customer service responses to inquiries you initiate.

Message frequency: typically 2–6 messages per move, plus any replies to questions you send us.

Carrier rates: message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

Opt out anytime: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also email hello@toromovers.net or call (689) 600-2720 to be removed.

We do not share mobile opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

4. How we share information

We share your information only with:

  • Service providers we use to run the business — including Stripe (payments), OpenPhone/Twilio (SMS delivery), Resend (email delivery), Telegram (operations alerts), and Netlify (website hosting). Each is contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Advertising platforms — we use Meta and Google conversion tracking to measure ad performance. Hashed, non-identifying signals are sent; your email and phone are not shared in readable form.
  • Legal authorities — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar tools for analytics and advertising measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features of the site may not work if you do.

6. Data retention

We keep your contact and move details for as long as needed to deliver service, honor warranty claims, and meet legal obligations (typically up to 7 years for financial records). You can request earlier deletion by emailing us.

7. Your rights

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Withdraw SMS consent by replying STOP.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
