You pay for the time your move actually takes — not a vague flat number pulled out of the air. That keeps it fair: a small, well-packed apartment costs less than a full house, because it takes less time.

What raises the cost

A handful of factors decide how many hours your move takes:

• Size of the move — more rooms and more furniture means more time.
• Stairs, walk-ups, and slow or shared elevators.
• Access and parking — a long carry from where the truck can legally park adds time.
• Distance between your two addresses (and Orlando traffic between them).
• Packing — if the crew packs for you, that's added time; if you're not fully packed when they arrive, the clock runs while you finish.
• Heavy or special items — pianos, safes, gym equipment, oversized furniture.

What lowers the cost
